2018 Season Recap

Thanks to the support and fundraising done by volunteers, the 2018 season turned into another success for West Suburban.  The spring began with improvements made to Miller Field at West Suburban. A new pressbox was added to Miller Field. The pressbox joins the new dugouts and new backstop that were added Miller Field in 2017.  Callet Field also received a new sound system in 2018.

During the 2018 regular season West Suburban fielded 33 teams between baseball, softball and the Challenger Division. Conemaugh Valley (Majors), Conemaugh Twp. (Intermediates), and West Suburban-Flood City Apparel (Machine Pitch) won regular season titles.  The West Suburban Ace Hardware team captured the Cambria Somerset Fast Pitch Championship.

The post season was highlighted by West Suburban hosting the Majors and Minors Section 4 Softball Tournaments. West Suburban also hosted a 12U and 8U Machine Pitch Tournament.  Teams with West Suburban players captured 7 post season tournament titles including: Conemaugh Valley 9-10, Adams Twp. 9u, Conemaugh Twp. 11-12, and the East Taylor Jackson, Somerset, West Suburban and Conemaugh Twp Machine Pitch Tournaments. Visit the WSLL Trophy Case page to see more on the WSLL tradition.

West Suburban also provided an opportunity for 8 and 9 year olds to participate in a Fall Ball program.

Please plan on attending a WSLL Board Meeting over the fall and winter as preparations are underway for the 68th season at West Suburban in 2019.
